About me

Laura Kamenetzky is a biologist (2001) and obtained a PhD in Molecular Biology (2007) from the School of Sciences (FCEN) at University of Buenos Aires (UBA). She did his post-doc at National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA). She is Independent CONICET Researcher at Institute of Institute of Biosciences, Biotechnology and Translational Biology- iB3-UBA) and develops her research in the area of genomics and bioinformatics studies of eukaryotes.

She was the director of the Bioinformatics Node under the National System of High Performance Computing (SNCAD) until 2020. Nowadays she is Professor at School of Sciences FCEN-UBA. She coordinated research projects funded by Argentinian and European agencies. She organized several events and workshops in the areas of research in helminthes, bioinformatics and genomics. She is a reviewer for several high impact journals and national and international research agencies. She is author of 68 papers published in international journals (scopus h index 20) and 5 book chapters from national and international editorial.
